All Saints’ Church has a very committed congregation, and you are assured of a warm welcome. In addition to our services of worship we hold regular social and fund-raising events.
The church lies within the grounds of the private Jersey estate, but access is available to everyone. If arriving by foot you should be able to open the small gate to the side of the main gate. You can also enter the park from School Lane. If arriving by car, drive right up to the gates and they will open for you. Park on the grass near the church.
The church has been undertaking a programme of restoration and refurbishment. We are very grateful to individuals for their donations, and especially to Valencia Communities’ Trust for a very generous grant. The pipe organ was taken to Nottinghamshire to be cleaned and repaired, and has been rebuilt at the west end of the church. The area where the organ stood originally now contains an accessible WC and a new vestry. In the south aisle we now have space for meeting and socialising, together with a an attractive servery.
The Parochial Church Council looks after the fabric of the church and churchyard. There is a rota of local volunteers who are responsible for cleaning, flower arranging, bell-ringing and the upkeep of the grounds.
We are very privileged to be host to a Commonwealth War Graves cemetery.
Pastoral care is very important and individual members of the congregation are active in helping those in need in the village. Please get in touch with one of the wardens or clergy if you would like a visit or know of someone who would appreciate one.
The church is normally open during daylight hours. There is seating in the pews for about 100 people and in the choir stalls for a further 32.
