Recycling Information

Soft plastics not suitable for Blue bins can be taken to the Co-Op in the village main square, the bin is located by the self service  tills, if full staff will accept behind the counter. Look out for our fun way to join in on our news & notices section

Household batteries - these can be recycled at the Co-Op in the village - ask the counter staff at B&Q stores,

or at the household recycling centre Pocklington Lane Burnby YO42 1UL.

LED and energy efficient lights B&Q   Hull Road, York YO10 3LE  - The bins are near the exit as you leave the store.

Candle waste - any candles, tealights, scented candles in their containers can be recycled, those we collect are donated to the local  Carmelite Monastery. Read our news sheets or watch for posters for collection events in 2023
