About Us

St Michael le Belfrey is a vibrant Anglican church in the centre of York. The Belfrey has an regular congregation of 500 people, worshipping Jesus at three different styles of Sunday service and through lots of events during the week.

Our vision is to Serve God's Transformation of the North.  In everything we do we place a high emphasis on the Bible, on worship & prayer and on building relationships.  We have many and varied events and a thriving community of small groups.

We are currently meeting in a temporary venue, De Grey Rooms, just around the corner from our church oposite the art gallery. This is while our church undergoes a major restoration and renovation project.
