About Us

St Denys is a traditional Anglican Church committed to sharing and celebrating the love of Christ within our local community.  We are one of four parishes in the centre of York that form the York City Centre group.

Our services are held in a beautiful medieval church containing some of the oldest stained glass in York.  Services are contemplative in style and communion is taken every Sunday.  Sung worship is led by an organ.

In addition we offer an attractive and accessible programme of regular one-off events including concerts, prayer evenings and cultural and heritage open days.

Service Times:

Sunday - 10am (BSL signed service first Sunday of every month)

Fourth Wednesday of the month 7pm - Contemplative Hour: an hour of reflection in the Ignatian tradition. Please check our Services and Events page for dates
