This month we are delighted to announce the imminent arrival of the Revd. Glyn Diggins to St Wilfrid’s Parish. It is well over a year since Revd. Pete left us for Wakefield, and almost nine months since Revd. Phil departed. How wonderful it will be to have a Rector in charge once again!

Revd. Roy Shaw comments on Lent and his forthcoming denial of chocolate. There is also an article from Parish Pump about the opportunity that Lent provides to be sorry to God.
Carole Wilson seeks new members for the Open the Book Group in Thorpe Willoughby, and we note that Open the Book celebrates 25 years in 2025.

Ruth Breeze updates us on PCC matters, and I contribute some nonsense on Gen Z being unable to tighten a nut with a spanner.

Finally, I provide a guide for the bewildered – which includes me - on the process to select a new Archbishop of Canterbury. Wouldn’t be a lot easier if they just moved everything to York?
