St James's Church, Murton

Churches with a heart - at the heart of our communities.

We are two churches - St James's, Murton and St Thomas's, Osbaldwick whose aim is to offer worship to God; and love, care and support to the whole community.

There is one Sunday service a month at St James's Church on the second Sunday at 4pm. Please refer to our website for upcoming services:

Safeguarding

"Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSO), Eileen Hallam and Glen Hallam.

Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSOs or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [https://dioceseofyork.org.uk/our-diocese/safeguarding/].

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
