All Saints Newton on Ouse
We are delighted that Reverend Lucy Brencher has been licensed as Priest-in-Charge of the Benefice of Alne and of the Benefice of Skelton with Shipton and Newton-on-Ouse.
Bishop John says of Lucy’s appointment: ‘Lucy has considerable experience of rural mission and ministry having served her title in Rural Ainsty and latterly been leading the parishes of Acaster Malbis, Appleton Roebuck and Acaster Selby alongside ministry in the Copmanthorpe Group in which she has developed services and community events to engage local people, especially the young. She also served the Tadcaster Benefice during their last vacancy. I am confident that with God’s grace this will be a great adventure for the parishes of West Galtres.’
Revd Lucy says of her appointment: ‘I will be delighted to be the new Priest in charge of the West Galtres churches. I am very much looking forward to meeting everyone, worshipping together and discerning ways to grow."

Holy Evangelists
Holy Evangelists is an imposing building but inside we are a faithful and friendly congregation. We aspire to grow in faith and in numbers, so do come and join in with our weekly services. With our new vicar Rev'd Lucy, we are keen to develop new ways that will help all people understand more of God's love: families and those with additional needs. We also enjoy more traditional services with hymn singing, readings and communion.
Holy Evangelists has good links with the Forest of Galtres school and we are more than happy to invite the school into church for assemblies at key times in the year or for class visits.
Holy Evangelists also loves to serve its community by way of baptisms, weddings and funerals. Please contact us if we can help you in this way: [email protected]
