Holy Evangelists

Holy Evangelists is an imposing building but inside we are a faithful and friendly congregation. We aspire to grow in faith and in numbers, so do come and join in with our weekly services. With our new vicar Rev'd Lucy, we are keen to develop new ways that will help all people understand more of God's love: families and those with additional needs. We also enjoy more traditional services with hymn singing, readings and communion.

Holy Evangelists has good links with the Forest of Galtres school and we are more than happy to invite the school into church for assemblies at key times in the year or for class visits.

Holy Evangelists also loves to serve its community by way of baptisms, weddings and funerals. Please contact us if we can help you in this way: [email protected]

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Shipton: Holy Evangelist is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [Maurice Walters] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [Rob Marshall - [email protected]]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
