St Giles' Church
St Giles, Skelton, is one of the best preserved and beautiful thirteenth century churches of England located in the older part of the village. We are a small, friendly rural church looking to grow in numbers, in faith and in generosity, so we can share God's love within Skelton. We now have a new digital organ a kitchenette and we plan soon to install a toilet. You are warmly invited to come and belong to St Giles' Church!
On Sundays starting at 09:30 we have a mix of traditional communion services, with excellent organ music and flute and all age family worship, which we hope to adapt and so engage more people. From January we will be sharing a Benefice Service with Shipton and Newton once a month too.
St Giles is open daily for personal prayer and a space to be still
We love to connect with our community - working with the school when asked as we offer class visits in church, curriculum enrichment in lessons and doing assemblies for key festivals. We also facilitate a space to catch up with friends and make new ones at Mandy's Café in the village hall which happens the first Friday of each month. Do come along and enjoy refreshments and light lunches from 10.30am.

Holy Evangelists
Holy Evangelists is an imposing building but inside we are a faithful and friendly congregation. We aspire to grow in faith and in numbers, so do come and join in with our weekly services. With our new vicar Rev'd Lucy, we are keen to develop new ways that will help all people understand more of God's love: families and those with additional needs. We also enjoy more traditional services with hymn singing, readings and communion.
Holy Evangelists has good links with the Forest of Galtres school and we are more than happy to invite the school into church for assemblies at key times in the year or for class visits.
Holy Evangelists also loves to serve its community by way of baptisms, weddings and funerals. Please contact us if we can help you in this way: [email protected]
