During covid restrictions, Marton Church was closed for an extended time, as it wasn't possible to meet social distancing rules inside such a small building! When all our churches were initially closed, Rev Steve started to send a weekly 'Update' by email (printed out and posted to anyone who needed a paper copy). It felt important to ensure that somehow we retained a sense of community at Marton, so the idea of 'Marton Friends' emerged.
This became a weekly email sent WITH the update to over 50 people who have some sort of personal connection with Marton, including any news, information about services, and a short reflection and blessing. 

In Feb 2024 we celebrated over 200 updates and emails!
