During covid restrictions, Marton Church was closed for an extended time, as it wasn't possible to meet social distancing rules inside such a small building! When all our churches were initially closed, Rev Steve started to send a weekly 'Update' by email (printed out and posted to anyone who needed a paper copy). It felt important to ensure that somehow we retained a sense of community at Marton, so the idea of 'Marton Friends' emerged.

This has become a weekly email sent out WITH the update to over 50 people who have some sort of personal connection with Marton, including any news, information about services, and a short reflection and blessing. (There is no financial implication or expectation associated with being a Marton Friend.)

We will be heading towards our 300th edition by the middle of January 2026!
