Before Jesus left his disciples, he promised that he would send a companion to help them in their life journeys.
At Pentecost we celebrate this gift from God: the Holy Spirit.
Often portrayed as a dove or fire, the Celtic Church preferred the symbol of a wild goose, reminding us that the Holy Spirit is free, untamed and sometimes loud!
Many Christians describe the Holy Spirit as a still, small, persistent voice in the midst of a troubled world - encouraging, protecting, challenging, healing and prompting us to live out God's purpose in our daily lives.
