Celtic Evening Prayer

Occurring
Monthly. Every Third Sunday at for 1 hour
Venue
St Stephen's
Address
Aldwark York, YO61 1UB, United Kingdom

This short service has space for Taize music, quiet prayers, candles, a Bible reading and some hymns. We use Celtic wording which lends itself to a contemplative service. All are welcome.

St Stephen's

St Stephen's is a beautiful little church with a big heart for its community. We currently have 2 services a month:

one joint family Communion with St Mary's Alne and St Michael's Tollerton (children's talk and activities)

and one afternoon Celtic Evening Prayer service.

We are praying that we will grow as church, in love for God, care for one another and we hope to build community with our village.

Church is open daily for private prayer. We hope you enjoy the stillness and prayer soaked space.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO.

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Carol Watson, who can be contacted by email ([email protected]) or phone (01347 810236).

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
