St Mary's

St Mary's is a small friendly rural church, looking to grow in our love of God, love of one another and love of our community. We currently have 2 Sunday services, one communion and one family service, both starting at 10.30am.

We have good links with our neighbours, the Primary School and we will be starting a small weekly coffee morning in April, May.

We love to journey with people in the different life events such as baptisms, weddings and funerals. These services can be tailored to your creative requests whilst keeping a core Christian centre with prayers and common worship texts from the Church of England.

Our church building is very ancient and beautiful and we hope to make it even more warm and inviting with a new porch with a glass door.

If you have ideas about our new family service, please email Rev Lucy. We would value you in our church family and we are praying that we will grow younger.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO.

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Carol Watson, who can be contacted by email ([email protected]) or phone (01347 810236).

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
