Candlemas is another name for the Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple. We'll be celebrating the end of the Christmas Season (yes, it does last until the 2nd February) and reflecting on the turning point that is past way between Jesus' incarnation, his birth in Bethlehem, and Jesus' passion, the cross and resurrection. It's a time for getting serious about life and faith, and a time for celebration as with thankfulness we proclaim Christ as 'The Light to lighten the Gentiles'.

St Thomas' Church

St Thomas' Church is a Grade 1 listed Georgian building, featuring attractive stained glass and an unusual barrel-vaulted ceiling.
