Sunday morning service

We invite you to our weekly Eucharist - the service of Holy Communion in which we receive the consecrated Bread and Wine. We come together to be with Jesus Christ. We gather as a Christian community to pray, to listen, to sing, to worship and to receive the Sacrament. We have people here who are regular worshippers, and very often visitors either from the town or coming from a distance. And there is a chance to chat and to meet new people over refreshments after the service.

Children are welcome. And if you need it Communion can be available with Gluten-free and alcohol-free elements - please speak to the stewards when you arrive. If you are not sure about receiving Communion, you are still welcome.

Coming together in this way helps us deepen our Christian understanding and equips us to live out our faith day by day.

St Mary's Ladies' Fellowship

A twice monthly meeting to listen to interesting speakers, share stories, support local charities and have fun!
We provide fellowship and friendship both at and outside of meetings to help combat loneliness and isolation.
Open to anyone - you don't need to be a church member.

The Get Together Group

St Mary's Get Together Group , a regular informal social group, meets every few weeks for morning coffee at a local garden centre. At its heart are people who worship at St Mary's, but the group is open to all, and newcomers are always welcome..

The Get Together Group was started 20 years ago by Kath Elliott, Liz Robinson and Peggy Guest, together with Canon Jim Samuel and the Revd Dorothy Humphries. They arranged for people without transport to be driven to a garden centre cafe for coffee. The first outing was to a visit to Barnett Hill garden centre. - originally with five people meeting up once every 6 to 8 weeks. These events proved to be very popular and everyone obviously enjoyed a relaxing morning meeting new and old friends.

We now have up to 30 people joining us and for this we rely heavily on people who are willing to offer transport for these events so we are always pleased to welcome anyone who can help us with this.

Our next event will be on Thursday, 27th February meeting at Bodenham Arboretum cafe.

There is no need to book, just turn up between 10am and 12 noon. we shall be there and look forward to welcoming you .
