About Us
This Grade 2* listed church was built by local subscription and the generosity of the local Amphlett family and John Corbett who was the owner of the Salt Works at nearby Stoke Works and the Member of Parliament. It was consecrated by the Bishop of Worcester in 1888. The guidebook in the church gives details of the main features of the church and highlights of its life over the past 130 years.
St Mary de Wyche is one of a group of 3 churches (the others being Stoke Prior and Upton Warren) which are in the Parish of Bromsgrove.
We welcome all ages to our church services. If you are planning to come along on Sunday for the first time here is some useful information:
You do not have to dress up (unless you specifiaclly want to).
We warmly welcome children and would love to meet them. We enjoy the sound of happy children, but if your child gets fractious, please don't feel you need to leave the church.
There is easy access for wheelchairs, with a ramp available if necessary.
We have a loop system for those who need it.
