Is the apparent 'E W ' (enhanced in red on the photo) just some long departed person incising their initials or given what we know about 'protective markings' found in churches, are we looking at something more significant?  Thanks to research undertaken by two volunteers a body of evidence has emerged to suggest that the many markings discovered at Hampton Lovett Church are much more profound.  Please do look through the attached guide (topright to download) and judge for yourself!
