An official ceremony took place to mark the grand reopening of the church tower after extensive repair and restoration works. This was led by The Archdeacon of Worcester, Revd Canon Mark Badger.  It was a pleasure to thank the local and wider community for their generosity and support in fundraising and National Lottery Players who supported the project through the grant the church received from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Guided tower tours were very popular with visitors being able to see the Priest's Room, the old windlass used to raise the bells and the bells themselves (two cast in the 1600s and one in the early 1700s).  A video tour was also offered for those who preferred not to negotiate the rather narrow and twisting 1300s turret stairway.

The 2024 theme of the national Heritage Open Days programme was 'Routes, Networks and Connections'. Another highlight of the two days was 'The Hampton Lovett Heritage Railway'. A 00-guage working model, designed and built by two local volunteers, the model included the church, the old Cutnall Green Halt' and a recreation of Operation Starfish (a World War II decoy operation).  Images are attached if you would like to see more.

With a range of other exhibits in the church and Parish Rooms - there was lots to see.  Thank you to everyone involved in planning and helping with the event.
