Messy Church is a time when families enjoy being together, making things together, eating together and celebrating God through his word, through music and through prayer. It's different from a children's activity day because it's an event for children and their parents together. With Messy Church we are trying to be a worshipping community of all ages, centred on Christ, showing hospitality, giving people a chance to express their creativity, to sit down together to eat and have fun within a church context.

We hold monthly sessions on the 2nd Saturday of each month (no meeting in August) with the following format:

People arrive and go straight to craft activity tables.
Time of celebration, worship, talk, prayer
Food for all
Blessing

St John’s, Greenlands, Redditch B98 7PZ

Safeguarding

"St John's in the parish of Ipsley is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, Barry Humphrey. The Diocese of Worcester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
