St Michael and All Angels Stoke Prior
Stoke Prior's beautiful medieval church is set in an ancient churchyard with wonderful trees, two of which date back 1,200 years, with lots of wildlife and a conservation area, The building has arches from the 12th century, carvings from the 20th century and lots from in between! The tower has recently undergone major restoration; in addition a new path has been laid, leading round to the west entrance with its stunning glass vestibule. Not only does this offer easy access to any who prefer to avoid steps, it also provides an excellent entry for brides on their wedding day.
Our small congregation is friendly and welcoming and we hope you feel at home, whether you are visiting the churchyard, the church, or joining us for our services.
There is a dynamic, creative Heritage Friends Group which organises a variety of social and fundraising events throughout the year. New members are always welcome. You don't have to be a regular church member in order to be part of the Heritage Group. (See below for contact details).
