Rogation Day Farm Walk

Occuring
for 2 hours
Venue
Southend Farm
Address
Southend Farm, Newbridge Green, Upton-upon-Severn, WR8 0QP, United Kingdom

We shall set off on our farm walk from Southend Farm at 4pm (weather permitting) and enjoy looking at the fine countryside, as well as hearing about the issues facing farmers today. As we journey from point to point, we shall read some relevant scriptures and pray for God's blessing on the land, its crops and livestock, and on the farming industry. At the end, we shall gather for a shared tea. Please bring a contribution with you. There is no planned menu but usually there is more than enough for all to enjoy. Tea and coffee will be provided.

St Nicholas

The Church stands on the site of a pre-Conquest Saxon Chapel and is to this day the focus for community worship and other local events. There is a regular monthly service at 10:30am on the first Sunday of every month and special services to mark important occasions in the Christian year. Our friendly congregation spans all ages from 8 months to 80 years and visitors to the area are always welcome to join our services.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Queenhill with Holdfast is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Worcester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Revd Chris Moss or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
