Collect
Almighty Father,
whose will is to restore all things
in your beloved Son, the King of all:
govern the hearts and minds of those in authority,
and bring the families of the nations,
divided and torn apart by the ravages of sin,
to be subject to his just and gentle rule;
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.

that earth may know the peace of heaven
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please remember…….help and support needed!!

A plea for the local food banks
An unpleasant thought for many, but it is only a very
few weeks until Christmas. A time for families to get
together, spend ‘down-time’ together and eat
together. Please help by providing everyday food and
Christmas treats for the local food banks. Items can be
left in the collection box in St Nicholas Church, in the
Pantry in Peopleton or in most supermarkets. Money

can also be donated on-line.
Please do help – the need is urgent.
St Kenelm’s annual Christmas Tree Festival takes
place during the weekend of 9 and 10 December.
Proceeds in support of the church.
A glittering array of trees has already been promised
but Church Warden Helen would love contributions
from the other churches in our Benefice. A great way
to demonstrate we are all working together for each
other. Please contact Helen on 01905 381490.
A couple of special diary dates in Advent
Quiet ways to prepare for Christmas
Holland House - Tuesday 12 December
Angels we have heard on high tell us to go out and

buy……

On this quiet day, led by our warden, we will spend
some time thinking and praying about our approach

to Christmas.

There will be an opportunity for gentle conversation,
resourcing ourselves for the onslaught of the
shopping spree, whilst encouraging the celebration of

the festival of the incarnation.
If you wish, you can bring your Christmas cards and
use some of the silence to write cards for friends and
family with whom you will connect this Christmas.
The day will start at 10.00am and conclude with carols in
the chapel at 3.00pm followed by tea and mince pies.

Cost £35.00.

To book or for more information please ring 01386 860330
or email [email protected]
