Fourth Sunday of Easter
Collect
Almighty God,

whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection

and the life:
raise us, who trust in him,

from the death of sin to the life of righteousness,
that we may seek those things which are above,

where he reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.

11.00am Coronation themed

6.00pm King’s Coronation
Celebration Service
It is the fifth Sunday in the month this week and an
ideal opportunity to get out and about and meet up
with friends and neighbours at a church, different

from your own.

There are very few services at St Leonard’s these days
so it would be great to have a good crowd in
Boughton Hackett to show support to the loyal, but
quite small band which works hard to look after St

Leonard’s.

Revd Claire will be taking the service and would love
to have a full church to preach to!
Please do give it some thought and go to Broughton
Hackett for 10.30 on Sunday. You will be sure of a very

warm welcome.
Prayer for St Leonard

Living God, you have given us St Leonard as an
example of one who extended himself to relieve the
difficulties of others; help us to know in our hearts the
love you have for us all so we may reach out in
genuine empathy to those in our community who feel
lonely, isolated or overwhelmed by grief or loss. Help
us to grow together as a people united in concern for
each other and love for you. Amen.
Next weekend of course is the Coronation. Please see
more details about what is going on at church in our

Benefice.

A message from Claire……….

I am pleased to say that I have successfully completed
my curacy.  It has been such a joy to be your curate-in-
charge and I have had so much support from you
across our parishes.  God willing, I will be licensed as
Priest-in-Charge here in the Bowland Benefice later

this year.

I look forward to the years ahead as we share in God’s
mission both inside and outside our beautiful church
buildings.  As with every walk of life, there will be
challenges and changes but we will meet them

together.

Don’t forget too that if there isn’t a church service in
your own village church, there will be something
happening in one of our other churches and you will
always receive a warm welcome there.

Revd Claire.
