O God, forasmuch as without you
we are not able to please you;
mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit
may in all things direct and rule our hearts;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.

On the cover of our Bowline monthly magazine, along
with drawings of our 4 active churches, there are also
pictures of the churches at Spetchley and Churchill.
You may wonder how they are managed and
maintained……..so here are a few words of
explanation from Margaret Haywood, Secretary of
White Ladies Aston’s PCC…….
The Churches Conservation Trust is the national
charity protecting churches at risk. It cares for the
churches vested in it by the Church Commissioners of
the Church of England, repairing damage and working
with local communities to bring them alive again.
There are two such churches in the parish of White
Ladies Aston, which is quite unusual – St. Michael's,
Churchill. and All Saints, Spetchley.
Although the CCT looks after the buildings, the parish
is responsible for the upkeep of the churchyard. Tracy
Genever is our new local Community Engagement
Officer and we look forward to working with her.
If you would like to help us care for these churches,
please contact Tracy on [email protected] or
call on 07831 873515
Look out for the annual Carol Service to be held at
3.00pm on 8 December in St Michael’s, Churchill.
