Communion in

Hackett
As the month of September has 5 Sundays, there
will be a Benefice Service of Holy Communion on
29 September in Broughton Hackett at 10.30.
You will be made very welcome by Revd Claire and
St Leonard’s congregation. Please do come along
to worship and meet up with friends and
neighbours from across the Benefice.
The Parish Room in White Ladies Aston has been
refurbished! Do come along next week to see what
has been achieved. On Monday Meet and Eat from
noon. For £5 enjoy the last summer menu of
pate/quiche with bread and salad followed by
dessert and tea/coffee.

On Friday in The Parish Centre you are invited to learn
more about the man on the £20 note – the artist
Turner famed for his wonderful painting of The
Fighting Temeraire. £5 for a great evening!
Harvest Services and celebrations in the Benefice:
For the fruits of his creation - thanks be to God.
For his gifts to every nation - thanks be to God.
For the ploughing, sowing, reaping,
silent growth while we are sleeping,
future needs in earth’s safe keeping,
thanks be to God!
On Sunday 6 October
Upton Snodsbury
Family Harvest Festival in St Kenelm’s Church at
10.30am with auction of donated harvest produce
following the service. Everyone is then invited to the
Village Hall for lunch of Soup and Sandwiches.
The collection from the service, auction money and
donations for lunch will be sent to
Farmers Overseas Action Group.
Peopleton
Harvest Festival with Holy Communion at 11.00am in
St Nicholas’ Church. All harvest gifts will go to Maggs’
Day Centre in Worcester. Following the service at
12.30pm for 1.00pm, there will be a Harvest Lunch in
Peopleton Village Hall. Tickets cost £12.00 for adults
and £4.00 for under 10’s. Please bring your own drinks
and glasses. Tickets from Kim (840911); Carole

On Sunday 13 October
White Ladies Aston
A Family Harvest Service will be held at 10.30am in St
John the Baptist Church. Harvest gifts are very
welcome particularly tins, packets and other dry food.
These will be given to the Maggs Day Centre in
Worcester. The service will be followed by
refreshments and fellowship in church.
Broughton Hackett
A Harvest Festival Family Service will be held at
4.00pm in St Leonard’s Church.

Bring! Food gifts for local charities.
From 4.45pm coffee, tea and cake will be served in St
Leonard’s. Everyone will be made very welcome at
the service but if you can’t be there please do come
along to church at 4.45pm to meet up with friends
and neighbours for tea, with scones and apple pie!
Almighty God, wonderful creator, giver of this
beautiful earth on which we live, we give you thanks
and praise. You have guided us all throughout the
generations and you have taught us the need for care
of everyone. We thank you for the harvest and the
gifts that we can share. Guide us to give cheerfully
from our ‘harvest’ to those who no harvest of their
own.
May this working out of your call to be loving and
caring show others the joy of bring part of your
Kingdom people. Amen.
