Merciful God,

you have prepared for those who love you
such good things as pass our understanding:
pour into our hearts such love toward you
that we, loving you in all things and above all things,

may obtain your promises,
which exceed all that we can desire;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.

A message from Claire

Our parishes have enjoyed good community time over
the past couple of weeks.  As well as the usual
gatherings on a weekly basis, we have had the coffee
morning at the Rectory, the fete at White Ladies Aston
and the Thank You service at Peopleton.  All well
attended and a great opportunity to meet up with
friends now that summer really is here!  Don’t forget
of course that we have the Grand Fete at Upton
House, Upton Snodsbury on 13 th July, 2.30 pm–

4.30pm.  See you there.

The annual Summer Service on 14 July in Spetchley

New Worshipping Communities – one of the four

diocesan priorities

On Tuesday 23 July at 7.30pm at St Andrew’s Centre,
Pershore, Kim Brown, the Diocesan New Worshipping
Communities Enabler will lead a presentation and
discussion about NWC’s. If you are interested in
seeing the Church grow, please come. Kim is a priest
and will share her experience of forming a NWC in
rural Gloucestershire.  We’ll be able to share our
experiences of what is going well, what needs
encouragement, and what we need help with. Kim will
be happy to take questions and offer further support.
The aim of this initiative is to reach those who
currently don’t go to church and to help them grow in
the faith and become part of a Christian community
meeting up in person or online regularly and thereby
connecting with the wider Church. There is more
information to be found on the Diocesan web-site.
A new Bishop for the Worcester Diocese
‘Join the Conversation’ and ensure you are heard!
Bishop Martin of Dudley writes We have begun the
process of looking for a new Bishop of Worcester and
want to hear the views of as many people as possible
across the Diocese. The Vacancy in See Committee is
beginning to develop our diocesan ‘Statement of
Needs’, which sets out what we see as our key
priorities as a diocese, where we feel God is calling us
and what experience, skills and qualities we would like
in our new diocesan bishop.  We want to ensure this is
an accurate reflection of the diocese, and we need

your help!

Please complete our online survey letting us know
what you think we need in a new bishop and where
you see our diocese at the moment and in the future.
The survey should only take 10 minutes of your time
and can be found here: www.cofe-
worcester.org.uk/join-the-conversation
…….more information as the week’s go by.
