Collect for Trinity 5 - A prayer for us all
Almighty and everlasting God,
by whose Spirit the whole body of the
Church is governed and sanctified:
hear our prayer which we offer for all
your faithful people,
that in their vocation and ministry
they may serve you in holiness and truth
to the glory of your name;
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.

As 30 June is a fifth Sunday, the Benefice Service of
Holy Communion is in Broughton Hackett. Revd
Claire and the team at St Leonard’s look forward to
welcoming you for a joyous summer service of Holy

Communion.

A Thank You Service of favourite hymns, readings and
prayers will be held at St Nicholas’ Church, Peopleton
on Sunday at 4.00pm.  It will be a celebration to thank
anyone who does anything at all, large or small, to
help keep the church building and God’s ministry alive
and vibrant.   Refreshments will be provided and you
will receive a warm welcome whether you are a
regular visitor or have never set foot inside the
church.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Thank yous… from Gill Creed…..Christian Aid
We raised £277.33 which includes £26.37 of Gift Aid
for Christian Aid. Donations were received from
Peopleton and Upton Snodsbury.
Thank you to all the volunteers involved.
from Revd Claire………coffee morning at the Rectory
The weather was certainly on good form for the
coffee morning held at the Rectory last weekend.
Thank you to everyone who came along to eat, drink
and spend in support of church funds.
Thank you also to all who committed their time,
energy and good humour, not to mention baking skills
to make the morning such a success.
Without you all across our benefice, your enthusiasm
and loyalty, these wonderful, local events wouldn’t be

able to take place.

Approximately £750 was raised for St Nicholas church.

Thoughts for those around us
For our young people finishing GCSE and A Levels.
Help them all to realise that exam success is not the

be-all and end-all of life.

The Summer holidays are looming large, so we think
of parents planning trips away and treats for their

children.

We think of those too for whom the Summer Holidays
just pose more problems and increased stress
juggling work, child-care and financial worries.
For the continuing work of the local food banks,
refuges and hostels – so urgently needed now more

than ever.

The world looks dark mostly everywhere at the
moment – we don’t need to spell it out especially with
the Election on Thursday. But despite everything, we

can feel grateful.
Lord, Thank you for love and laughter.
Thank you for family and friends.
Thank you for the natural world around us.
Thank you for the seasons.

Thank you for the sun by day and the moon by night.

Thank you for LIFE! Amen.

St Nicholas, Peopleton
