3 rd Sunday of Easter - Collect
Almighty Father,

who in your great mercy gladdened the disciples
with the sight of the risen Lord:
give us such knowledge of his presence with us,
that we may be strengthened
and sustained by his risen life and serve you
continually in righteousness and truth;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Thank you

All of the Annual Church Meetings have now
taken place, so we say a very big thank you to all
those who have once again agreed to serve on
our churches’ Parochial Church Councils.
There continues to be much to be done but with
your enthusiasm, loyalty, commitment and
above all, with your goodwill and with your firm
belief that within the Benefice we are all working
together for God’s Kingdom, much will be achieved.

Praying for our Vision
God of all grace and goodness,
you lead is into the way of love and life:
hear our prayer for your church in this place,
may we offer you our hearts and minds in worship,
bring others to walk with us as disciples of Christ,
and share the hope to which you have called us,
that by the work of your Spirit
we may see lives and communities transformed,
and be drawn ever more deeply into your life of love,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

…and a personal prayer

Lord, increase my faith that I may embrace everything

that is your will.

Lord, increase my faith that the mountain of difficulty

may be removed.

Lord, increase my faith that I may never be impatient

or frustrated.

Lord, increase my faith that I may run to you in every

situation.

Lord, increase my faith that I may trust you in seeming

failure or defeat.

Lord, fill me with faith, hope and love, this day and

always. Amen.
A Plea for the Local Foodbanks
Already the farmers are talking about bad harvests
and increased food costs in the shops because of the
dismal weather we are experiencing, so please
whenever possible, remember those so much worse
off than ourselves who live really very close by, and
drop something into the collecting boxes in our
churches or in our supermarkets. All manner of
foods, cleaning materials and toiletries are needed.

So please, please help.
A plea from St Paul’s Hostel
St Paul’s Hostel for the homeless has mainly male
residents and it is always in need of toiletries, towels,
single bedding, socks, slippers and trainers and warm
clothing. Collection box available in St Nicholas Church

Peopleton.

And finally….as we are sent out from church most
Sundays…….Go in peace to love and serve the Lord!
