Coffee, lunch and tea refreshments will be available in aid of Cancer Research. It was wonderful having the choir at the service and its anthem was very special.The collection at the service will be used to provide a new bench in Millennium Woods in memory of Jane. If you missed the collection box in church or would like to give a donation now, Jane’s children ask that you post an envelope through the door of Loafer’s Cottage, Lazy Lane as they will be frequent visitors over the next weeks.Work Party Preparing Fladbury Church for Advent and ChristmasA cleaning work party in readiness for our Advent and Christmas services in Fladbury Church is planned for Saturday 30 November from 10:00 am.Dusters, polish and cleaning kit will be provided and there will be refreshments.To find out more please ring Jean Ounsted - 01386 860363.All are welcome, do please join us.Advent Service of Light Sunday 1 December at 6.00pm at Fladbury ChurchA candlelit service of Advent carols and readings, with choir, to reflect on the beginning of Advent.Christmas Tea Party at the Granary, CropthorneThe last Cropthorne Tea Party of 2024 will be at the Granary on 7 December at the usual time of 3:30pm until 5:00pm.There will be a small number of tasty gift-boxed Christmas cakes priced at £6 on sale.We will serve mulled wine and mince pies as well as the traditional teas.Everyone is very welcome to come along.Donations will go to the Cropthorne Peterloo Fund (We are working hard to raise enough money to put a toilet into Cropthorne church).Five Alive Parish Shoe Boxes - by Monday 25 November pleaseWe are joining children of our local schools by filling empty shoes boxes with small gifts for vulnerable children in Eastern Europe.When filled and collected by the charity Teams4U, the boxes will be taken to Eastern Europe and given to the children or families through schools, nurseries, hospitals and orphanages. If you would like to fill a shoe box, there is a leaflet explaining exactly how to do it in the back of our churches or village halls.
