Following her Ordination as a Priest in Worcester Cathedral the Rev Gilly Maxim officiated at her first Eucharist service in our church on Sunday 29th June. It was a Team Eucharist and we had nearly 100 people at the service, including 2 from the delegation from the Diocese of Magdeburg who are visiting Church of England Diocese of Worcester.
Not only did we celebrate Gilly's first service but we were also able to celebrate with the Rev Stephen Buckley who has been a Priest for 40 years. The Rev Phil Bradford, our Team Rector, completed the line up at the altar.
At the end of the service the children presented Gilly with cards that they had made for her during Children's church. After the service we enjoyed a bring and share lunch with Gilly and her family.
