The birth of a baby, born to poor parents in a small, unremarkable village, would not normally attract the attention of people much beyond their own friends and family. And yet, about 2,000 years ago, the birth of one such baby did get noticed. His name was Jesus. It is believed that a group of people who studied the stars lived in a country called Persia. They saw a bright star, and thought it was a signal that an important person had been born. The actual names of these people who saw the star have been forgotten in history, but they have become known as The Wise Men or The Three Kings. Such was their excitement that they set off on a dangerous and difficult journey across deserts to take gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. Join us on a journey with the Kings around our community...
From Monday 13th December to Sunday 9th January a King, a star, or a gift will be displayed in the windows of local businesses, schools and churches.Download a copy of the leaflet to find out more and follow the trail.
