The Book of Common Prayer (BCP) was written in the mid 1500s by the reformer Thomas Cranmer. It is widely considered to be one of the most important works of English literature ever written. It is still much loved due to the beauty of the traditional language and remains a significant source of doctrine for the Church of England.
At the 8am you’ll find a peaceful, reflective space with no sung worship where we journey through silence, ancient liturgy (the words used to structure a worship gathering) and share the eucharist together.
