Most Saturdays we show a family film ( mainly for the children, but parents and adults are welcome) with free entry, popcorn and drinks. Visitors are very welcome to join our Sark children. Look on our Facebook page ( @sarkchurches) and for posters around the island for this weeks film! ( Some weeks there is no film, so always check)

Methodist family service

Monthly. Every Second, Fourth Sunday at for 1 hour

Sark Methodist Church, During winter months our services are held in the Sanctuary Centre hall behind the church.

Our second Sunday services at Chapel are often led by our Local Preacher, Lorraine, all other services by our Island Minister David. All are welcome and we serve coffee after the service.

Matins

Monthly. Every Fourth Sunday at for 1 hour

Our regular Matins service, led by our Island Minister, Revd. David Stolton, with choir and sermon and some sung responses, is usually held on the fourth Sunday of each month. All are welcome, especially singers!

Ministers rest day

David has Monday's as his rest day, but if there is a pastoral need please do not hesitate to ring. Sometimes he will, however be off island.

Prayer meeting

Our weekly ecumenical prayer meeting when we meet to pray for our community, the world and the churches mission is open to all to attend. We use the Methodist Prayer Handbook as a guide. Occasionally this will be at alternative venues, usually announced in our services.

Parents and toddlers ( and babies) group

A fun time for our little ones to play together and time to chat and relax for parents and carers. New time so that parents/carers can go straight from dropping older children at school.There are plenty of toys available, comfy sofas and coffee, everyone welcome. Our Minister often drops by to say helllo .

National Theatre Live Screenings

We are very fortunate to be able to screen National Theatre Live shows at Sark Sanctuary Centre every month on a Wednesday, a fantastic opportunity to see West End theatre in Sark, the particular Wednesday may vary. School Assembly

Our Minister greatly enjoys leading an assembly at Sark School during term time, the children seem to enjoy it too!
This is often followed by a meeting with the Head of School

National Theatre Live

The new season of National Theatre Live productions, which we are so lucky to have access to in Sark, begins again this February. Please note the change of day to a Thursday evening to avoid clashes with other events on Wednesdays and to match NT Live release dates.

Methodist Communion Service

Our monthly communion service at the Methodist Church, in Methodist tradition, may be from the standard Methodist liturgy ( The Worship Book) or may be a less formal, more intimate service, this varies from month to month. It is usually led by our Island Minister, David. All are welcome at the Lord's table and to join us for coffee after the service.

A more informal service over breakfast with video, worship songs and discussion, all are welcome . If there is an occasional united service at St Peter's this service will not take place

Holy Communion Service

United Family Service followed by a shared meal

Our "Fifth Sunday" family services which we follow with a bring and share meal and time of chatting and sharing together. All welcome, and there is always plenty of food for all! Our fifth Sundays are an opportunity for both of our churches to gather in worship together and then share fellowship. There is no service at St Peter's on a fifth Sunday ( unless notified otherwise)

Service for the 80th Anniversary of Liberation

As Sark celebrates the 80th anniversary of its liberation this weekend, we shall hold a special service at St Peter's for the island community and the special visitors who will be present on the Sunday. This will immediately follow the Calvacade on the day, so many will be dressed appropriately in 40's clothing and the Sark British Legion will also parade and present standards. All are very welcome- it is likely to be a very busy service and we plan to have an augmented choir and music to both celebrate and remember.
