The Story So Far by Jonathan...Our travels to Rwanda were blessedly smooth. Even so it was about 24 hours travel before we finally arrived at our destination of the Kigeme Diocesan Guest House. There we were greeted with posies and a special cake. We are their first overseas mission visitors for 2024 and they thought it worthy of celebration. Bishop Assiel and his wife Valerie were there to greet us and later on Pastor Speciose from our link parish dropped by to say hello and a couple of other friends from the parish too.Wednesday, our first full day, was a very full day. We went over to our link parish, Kibirizi, and were again greeted with posies -then time at the school, a visit to Munombe Chapel - now complete with the extra funds we sent recently and time in the church with worship singing by the parish choirs. If that wasn't enough we went to the Cathedral to join the pastors at their annual conference.Tiring but satisfying sums it up. We will have lots to share at our Lent Mission Lunch on Sunday 3rd February.
