As I am so often, I’m struck by the wealth of skills and generosity of spirit across our fellowship – and by what a privilege it is to be a part of it. We gave Sarah and Cliff the best possible send-off, with such an excellent Saturday evening, and lovely all-age service the next day. Thank you to everyone who played a part in these - and there were so many who did. It was lovely that we could put on such an occasion, and that we could welcome in others who rarely join us with such warmth too. We each had reason to be grateful to Sarah and Cliff for all they brought to St Francis, and we’ll miss them with sadness and strong memories of their kindness, energy and faith. But this is balanced by our gratitude for the legacy they leave here, and by the hope of new opportunity both for them on Jersey and us who remain.
