About Us

St John's is one of three churches in the Parish of Winton, Moordown and Charminster. We are a very welcoming church in the liberal catholic tradition of the Church of England. We are proud members of Inclusive Church and all we do is underpinned by our core values of Sanctuary, Nurture, Compassion. We have lively children and young peoples' work, many groups for our older members and worship which centres around our weekly Parish Eucharist but also includes Taizé, Iona and Messy Church. Our beautiful church was built in 1874 and is situated on the Wimborne Road. We have a small car park behind the church off Vicarage Road.
