CHURCH OPEN FOR HOLY HOURS

Church_news News_about_our_building Notices

Today we opened the church, for private prayer and devotion, for the first time since the lockdown began. Although there was no liturgy (public services are currently not allowed), there was an Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 10-11 a.m., which was attended by twenty-seven people (all carefully social distancing). It was good to back in church, despite the constraints, and to renew acquaintance with friends not seen for months. It is to be hoped that improving conditions will soon permit the return to more normal services but, in the meantime, we shall continue to offer this Holy Hour at 10 a.m. on Sundays and Thursdays.

You are welcome to come in, on these occasions, for all or part of the hour - there is no requirement to stay to the end. Please note that there are separate IN and OUT doors and a one-way system is in operation (up the centre of the church and back down the side aisles), with two-thirds of the rows roped-off. Sanitiser stations are by the doors and facemasks are available (donation appreciated) by the wall safe. Kindly kindly remember to observe safe social distancing.

Access to the church at other times may possible by private arrangement with Fr Adrian on 01202 911569 or [email protected]
