When there’s a fifth Sunday in the month we come together as a benefice and hold one service, either at St Bartholomew’s or at St Lawrence. But this year, Mothering Sunday falls on the fifth Sunday of March. So we’re having our usual special Mothering Sunday services on the 30th and treating the 23rd as if it was the fifth Sunday. This time it’s St Bartholomew’s turn to host the benefice service.

St Lawrence

St Lawrence is a haven of peace and prayer in Winchester’s busy city centre, and services are held at 10am every Sunday. They are also available to watch on YouTube – please see our website for details of how to view. All are welcome.
The parish of St Lawrence includes the church of St Swithun-upon-Kingsgate, a “chapel of ease” where evening services are held every Sunday.
