Early in 2022 the PCC decided, after much prayerful consideration, to use a very generous legacy gift to appoint a part-time Anna Chaplain. The main role of our Anna Chaplain is to offer support to older people by visiting those who are living in the community of Littleton and visiting the parish care homes.

The name is inspired by the widow Anna who appears with Simeon in Luke’s gospel – both fine role models of faithful older people. The name ‘Anna’ means gift, or grace, and this ministry is a gracious Christian offering to the local community irrespective of whether people go to church or not.
