Attending worship and regular service times

Worship is a joyful and meaningful expression of our faith, where we come together to celebrate God's presence in our lives. No matter your previous experience with church, you are warmly invited to join our services, where we create a welcoming atmosphere for all. Each service offers a unique style of worship, incorporating Bible readings, prayers, hymns or songs, and engaging talks that help us reflect on the teachings of Scripture.

What to expect

Our services are different in style, but all contain readings from the bible, a time of prayer, hymns or songs and a talk about the bible readings for the week. Our family services follow an informal order of service, and usually last around 30-45 minutes. Holy Communion on the other weeks is around 50-60 minutes, and follows a more formal order of service (or liturgy). Newcomers are very welcome at all our services, and if you have any questions before or on the day, please ask!

When are our services?

Sunday services are held weekly at 10.30am. It's worth being there a few minutes before the service begins, but if you arrive late or have to leave before the end, that's no problem.  We welcome everyone with refreshments before the service from 10.15 and you are also welcome to stay afterwards.

Our family services on the 1st Sunday of the month. These are especially child-friendly, but families are welcome at all services. (Between 30-45 mins)

On the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month, a Eucharist (Holy Communion) service takes place. All are welcome. (approx 1 hr).  On the 4th Sunday, we have a Morning Prayer service.

If there is a 5th Sunday, this is often a joint service with our Benefice at All Hallows in Whitchurch. Check the calendar or pew sheets for the venue.
