Come and hear the newly restored organ
Sing some favourite hymns
Enjoy some wine and canapés
The organ in All Saints’ dates from about 1920. Unfortunately, it has had problems for many years and has not performed as it should. The organ has lacked volume and could no longer produce the range of sounds it once did. Sometimes notes failed to sound at all and sometimes they carried on sounding when they should have stopped. Quite alarming for the player and distracting for the listeners!
The PCC decided to have the organ’s key internal mechanisms overhauled and replaced so as to restore it to its former glory. So please come and hear the organ with its new lease of life, enjoy singing some of your favourite hymns and have some wine and canapes.
Voluntary contributions towards the cost of restoring the organ will be welcome on the night.
