Revd Karen West will be speaking on the Epistle passage from St Paul’s letter to Colossians in which he urges us all – mothers or not – regardless of whatever clothes we choose to put on to show those around us, to wear love. The Message version of the passage describes love as our ‘basic, all-purpose garment that we should never be without’.

St. Mary the Virgin Church, commonly known as Silchester Church, is situated in the village of Silchester in Hampshire, United Kingdom. Silchester itself is renowned for its Roman ruins and rich archaeological heritage and the church stands as a testament to the long history of this area. 

Our church is primarily a place of worship and prayer, one which still serves as the focal point for Christian fellowship and ministry for many who live nearby. Access to Saint Mary's is usually available on most days. We are open for you, whether you wish to explore our history or seek a time of quiet contemplation.
