A service to recall those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defence of our Country.

This service will involve members from the Old Basing Royal British Legion and the local community. Following the service, from 10:50, there will be an Act of Remembrance around the Old Basing War Memorial.

For those who wish, following the Act of Remembrance, at around 11:15, there will be a short service of Holy Communion in the Bolton Chapel.

St Mary's

Welcome to St Mary's Church! Our main service takes place every Sunday at 9.30am. At the present time this is live-streamed only on our Facebook page 'St Mary's Old Basing and Lychpit' and then uploaded to our YouTube Channel. We are committed to praying daily for the parish and to serving our neighbour. Our worship includes both traditional and modern elements as we witness an inclusive expression of faith in Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that whether you are joining us for a brief visit or whether St Mary's becomes your spiritual home, you will find a welcoming community which reflects God’s love and care. 

Our church building is currently open for individual prayer Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm, and Sunday 11:30am to 3pm. 

St Mary's is a member of Inclusive Church - a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate.
