The organ is built into the North Chapel and was given to St Mary's by Revd James Blatch, it was officially opened by the Bishop of Ely on July 16th 1878. As a boy the Bishop had lived in Old Basing and was a pupil of a former curate, Mr. Appleton. Built by Bevington & Sons at a cost of £405, which converted to today's figures would be a six figure sum. It was last comprehensively repaired in 2004.

The 8.00 a.m. Sunday Holy Communion follows the rite of the Book of Common Prayer.
