ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL – FOR HOW LONG?
An exhibition in response to climate change

All Saints’ Church, Upper Clatford, near Andover, will be staging an exhibition in response to climate change on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June 2024 entitled ‘All things bright and beautiful – for how long?’. The event is in aid of repairs to the church’s pipe organ which was installed in 1901.

Village organisations, individual artists and All Saints’ flower arrangers will be contributing a variety of artworks and flower arrangements featuring the impact of climate change and what we are trying to do to reverse it.

Some people will be interpreting the words of the well-known hymn ‘ All things bright and beautiful’ by the nineteenth century Anglo-Irish hymn writer Cecil F Alexander in a contemporary context. Other displays will include ‘Bees, keeping things bright and beautiful’ by the Clatford Valley Gardening Club, pictures of threatened species and a variety of textile art. The church path will be lined with cut-out images of birds and animals.

Admission to the exhibition is £5.
The festival will be open on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June, 11am – 5pm.
