St John's has 6 full circle ringing bells.  The ringing chamber is carpeted and insulated from the bell chamber which is some 5 meters above.  Many visiting groups from all over UK have experienced the bells of St John's.  The PCC has imposed a compulsory donation of £30 for each group to enable a 'restricted bells fund' to be developed for all bell related expenses.
