ANDREW HAYMAN - a local musician who directs several choirs, as well as being a professional organist, will be celebrating St. Mary’s new Allen digital ORGAN with a selection of popular pieces for the organ.

The concert will last about 1 hour, followed by TEA and CAKES.

TICKETS: £10.00 will be available from the 1st of February from: Six West; the Benefice Office at St. John’s Church, Sue Armstrong: tel. 01962 734542; or Gail Straker: tel. 07780 812590

We’re fundraising to create a much-needed kitchenette and WC inside the church.

St Mary's

The present Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Old Alresford, constructed of brick and flint dates from the 18th century. The Church appears in the Doomsday census and there is much to suggest that there was a place of worship on the site from the 9th century.

The Church was declared to be of special architectural and historic interest in 1956 and was listed grade II*.

In 2004 the Parish was united with All Saints, Bighton, St. Peter’s Ovington and St. John’s, New Alresford.
