A Patronal Festival is a yearly celebration of a Church’s Patron Saint. Here we celebrate St. John the Baptist. It also gives us the chance to give thanks to God for the many blessings and gifts that He gives us as a parish.

This year's festival includes a Cream Tea (3.30pm) and Songs of Praise (5pm) after Holy Communion at 9.30am

St John the Baptist

The Church of St John the Baptist is Church of England and within the Diocese of Winchester and is part of the Arle Valley Benefice.

It has been the Parish Church of New Alresford since 1851. However, we know from the Domesday Book that there was a church in New Alresford soon after the Norman Conquest. Until 1851 it was part of the Parish of Old Alresford.

St John’s serves the whole community of New Alresford.
