Christ Church, Staincliffe

Welcome to the United Benefice of Christ Church Staincliffe and St John's the Evangelist Carlinghow. We are a welcoming, friendly & social community of Christians in Batley, West Yorkshire, Diocese of Leeds, affiliated to The Society and under the episcopal oversight of the Bishop of Wakefield. The parish is also served by a Priest of the Society of the Holy Cross

We sit firmly within the Catholic tradition of the Church of England and celebrate Mass daily within the Benifice. Our worship is high church, with rich ceremonial, beautiful vestments, incense, bells, traditional hymns, plain chant and includes devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the Saints. Everyone is welcome to any and all of our services and events for more information about services, baptisms, weddings, funerals or life events please contact the Parish Priest Fr Jay Lawrence Hewitt SSC.
