Romans: The Gospel of God (continued)
Paul’s letter to the church in Rome offers us one of the most complete pictures of the gospel and its implications in the New Testament. It is a letter that has changed lives of countless people down through the centuries—from the architect of Western theology St. Augustine in the 5th Century to the father of the Reformation, Martin Luther, in the 16th Century, from the brilliant 18th Century British evangelist John Wesley to modern day American pastor John Piper. Theologian Scot McKnight writes: “Romans is about theology, but it isn’t mere theology—it isn’t abstract theology. If you will, the theology of Romans is about a way of life, about lived theology.”
